Summer at Victoria Hotel Galway

Lovely stay in Galway City. Had a really lovely stay at The Victoria Hotel. Great location for access to city centre. Even though parking is off site, it's very close. You can kind off pull up out front if you have lots of bags for a quick drop off but we didn't bother, just called ahead and got location of parking then walked across to hotel. Staff were all very helpful. Room was clean & comfortable. Our room was at front of hotel, which is on a fairly busy street. It wasn't crazy noisy but if its a problem for you maybe request to stay in a different part of hotel.

I've stayed here twice over the years and it's my go-to for Galway. I think they self-describe it best: "straightforward". Sure, decor is a bit dated, but it has everything you need for a nice, central stay in Galway.Importantly, they have nearby parking in a garage that's about a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Pretty easy in-and-out with a guard on duty.

It’s just a few minutes' walk from the train and bus stations, which made it super convenient to get around, especially if you’re arriving without a car. You can easily explore the Latin Quarter, Eyre Square, and all the charming streets and shops nearby.The room was excellent — clean, cozy, and very comfortable. The bed was big and soft, the shower had great pressure, and the space had everything I needed. It felt more like a boutique hotel than a city-centre stay. I also appreciated the modern touches and how well-maintained everything was.I really enjoyed the breakfast as well. It was fresh, plentiful, and had a good mix of hot and cold options. Whether you're into a full Irish or something lighter, there was something for everyone. The service at breakfast was just as good as at reception — warm and efficient.Overall, I couldn’t have asked for more. The Victoria Hotel offers that perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and Irish hospitality. It’s the kind of place you leave already thinking about your next visit. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Galway — for business, a weekend break, or exploring the West of Ireland.

very pleasent quite spot but right in the middle of town

Good hotel in the city center of Galway. Comfortable rooms, good breakfast and nice bar/restaurant.

Perfect no frills budget friendly hotel right in the heart of Galway. Room was very clean. Bathroom was modern. No pool or gym and a slightly old elevator. TV was a little small but fine. A block from the train and right next to the tour I took. Didn’t try the breakfast. Downstairs bar looked awesome, but never saw anyone in it. Bed was really comfortable and they loaded me up with pillows.For what I paid, I was more than happy.

First time staying here with my partner. Everything was amazing. Staff & food and made very welcome and always helpful. Cant complain. Loved every minute. Excellent location. Hope to be back some day x

We have previously used this hotel & it has been done up since we last stayed.Room was comfortable, warm and clean. A little noisy from construction noise in the morning. Breakfast included was a continental and cooked option, lots of choice and all very tasty. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location just off eyre square and two close by car parks with a reduced rate for overnight parking

Outstanding hotel so near many attractions, really enjoyed Christmas markets and going to both the Eyre square shopping centre and may shops around Eyre square, would recommend Outstanding staff and food at , the Bedrooms were so spacious and comfortable , To anyone wants to explore Galway City. Nice clean hotel. Went for Christmas market so ideal spot to visit the market. Price reasonable considering Galway tourist prices everywhere else. Only fault (if its even that) was Hotel atmosphere not great. Hotel bar was beautiful but empty. We ate out as we wanted somewhere with a bit of music. We travelled Christmas week on a Tuesday and all bars further that had music we couldnt get in the door with crowds. So even a 1 man band in the hotel would have been good so we could have eaten in.

Can’t fault this wonderful hotel, prime location yet no street noise. High quality bedding, high quality food and drinks. Very reasonable price. Staff will go above and beyond for their guests. All staff were extremely warm and welcoming. Hotel rooms are spacious and spotless and have everything you could possibly need. Had a wonderful stay and had a great night sleep. I will definitely be back to this gem. Ideal for families, couples and friends. 5 stars ✨. Highly recommend

We stayed at the Victoria Hotel in Galway and picked it mainly because it’s so close to the Christmas Market. It ended up being a great choice. The place feels like a small boutique spot with a cozy bar and restaurant that are easy to relax in.||||Our room was quaint, comfortable, and had a nice view of the water. The bathroom was small but really well done. It even had a bathtub, which made my wife pretty happy. The whole setup just felt warm and easy.||||The staff was friendly and checked in with us to see if we needed anything, which was a nice touch. The short walk to the Christmas Market made everything even better.||||When we come back to Galway, this is definitely where we’ll stay again.

Brilliant location ,just off Eyre square ,very helpful and friendly staff..Comfortable clean room, cartons water lovely,good deal on nearby parking overnight ,and fabulous breakfast

I had a very good stay. Big and clean room, comfy bed and excellent location, walking distance from most of the attractions in Galway. The breakfast was quite good, just their coffee was very week and only one option, but for tea lovers, they have many options.It had a down side as well. Check-in was delayed, but they allowed to leave my luggage. The lighting was very bright, even the side bed, they could add a switch to turn off part of it. I'm not a big fan of TV, but it wasn't working. I can't tell if they would fixed it because I didn't bother about it.

We had an absolutely wonderful time in Victoria hotel ..Claire and Paraic your bar and waitresses staff were exceptional..Compliments also to your other bar staff..your receptionist.. your housekeeping...and the food...oh my lordy..us 10 ladies have travelled the length and breath of ireland and Europe and we were treated like ladies...the crack was just memorable. Thank you Victoria Hotel...exceptional...don't change a thing..ye have ur fingers on the pulse...Kudos to you all... regards the 10 women from Wexford.,Wicklow &| Carlow...
