Excellent staff beautiful food

Friendly, clean room The breakfast was very good. Coeliacs are catered well. Perhaps, you could improve the offering by providing gluten free porridge.

The meal that I had was good for a vegetarian.

The room was cleaned really well. The waitering, reception staff were both friendly and helpful

Currently under renovation, rooms are not very roomy. Rooms are well kept; staff is friendly and helpful. It is a five minute walk to the center of the Latin quarter.

Amazing food and brilliant staff Stayed for two nights, Rooms spotlessly clean, breakfast was amazing both mornings with a great selection, service staff went above and beyond
We had dinner included in our package and decided to eat the first night, the new bar is stunning and the bar team, waiters and waitresses were brilliant. Food was spectacular and cooked to perfection. compliments to the chefs.
Check in and check out were a breeze thanks to the amazing reception team

Overall an amazing experience and we are already looking at dates for another stay at the hotel

Exceeded expectations The hotel was very clean, comfortable and a fantastic location for walking around the city and waterfront. I enjoyed the tea/coffee service in the room.
The Queen Street restaurant was delicious surprise. Excellent food, and for the high quality, prices were comparable with more casual food around town. The staff were very efficient, attentive and friendly .I hope to visit again. As a solo traveler I felt safe and comfortable.

Wonderful welcome Everything is great. Lovely room and welcome. We got here 3 hours early but we got us into our room 15 mins after we arrived and the gent on the desk offered great advice and was very helpful. We waited in the bar and got drinks and eggs Florentine for breakfast. That was the only downside. The portion was tiny but in fairness tasted great. Not good value for money. All in all the staff are great and specially our server in the restaurant. I know it's rough times for everyone in hospitality at the moment having just reopened but you're doing a great job. Hats off.

Nice hotel, Getting construction work to upgrade, great clean room ,comfortable beds, cable, internet, .€5 for full Irish breakfast, and bread, coffee, teas, beautiful old wooden bar with carved wood walls ,lot of small nooks for privacy , great friendly bartender who knew everything about Galway, all the places to go.one block from Train and bus stop, right of city square

Awesome hotel This hotel is conveniently located and has a great bar and restaurant downstairs. The staff was friendly, welcoming and very helpful. We always came back to a clean room at the end of the day when he hasn’t been the case in other hotels. Highly recommend!

Great hotel Lovely clean hotel in a great location. We stayed in a family room, which was perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids. The room was a lot bigger than other hotels. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly.

Perfect hotel & restaurant! We choose to stay at the Victoria Hotel Galway for a central location at a reasonable price and we were very pleased with how great the hotel is as well. Rooms are very modern and nice and the restaurant in the lobby is amazing. Great drinks and food - the baked goat cheese salad and clam chowder are top notch! Very much recommend a stay here.

Top class Customer Service & Food My family and I were looking for somewhere cosy to have a bite to eat and chill out for the evening. We were so impressed with the customer service & warm welcome from the minute we came through the front door. The ambiance in the lobby/bar is warm & welcoming, the food was fabulous (lovely selection on the menu for everyone) and the cocktails were delicious. Highly recommended so well worth a visit, a true gem on the edge of Eyre Square and our next visit is already booked. Keep up the great work everyone in the Queen Street/Victoria Hotel 👏😊

James Mc Cann Travelled with my partner for a couples city centre weekend to sample what galway had to offer. Super easy to find as just around corner from bus station, clean and great breakfast. Great price also for what we recieved as we got wine and prosecco on arrival. In process of building a new bar to replace the current bar so will be back for the xmas markets for sure. Excellent set-up measures for covid 19 !Perfect location.Friendly and professional staff.The room we had was tiny, clean, with all comforts.The breakfast is really good and with multiple choices, the full irish breakfast was amazing.The only problem is: the walls of the rooms are thin, we could hear the doors slamming at night when the other guests returned in their rooms.

Great place to base yourself for the Christmas market. 5 to 10 minute walk to great restaurants & bars.

Fabulous hotel 🏨 My self and my husband stayed 4 days in this hotel from the minute we stepped in they were so nice the staff and the hotel restaurant and bar is fabulous and has a art deco feel the beds are so comfy and the Breakfast was so delicious and to top it off the Guinness was delicious too can't wait to go back happy😊

Great Nice hotel in an excellent location. The staff were super friendly. Our family room had 2 single beds and 1 double. Nice spacious and clean room. The bathroom had a wonderful walk in shower. There was a good variety at breakfast, cereals and pastries etc were self service and a menu available for hot food. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and the service was wonderful. The hotel is a little dated in general but I understand that renovations are in the pipeline. I would most definitely return.

The Best Night Porter Ever We only stayed at the Victoria for the one night but lord was it grand! The night porter, Christian (Kristian?) was supremely helpful and turned a potentially sticky situation into one of the best hotel experiences of my life. Highest recommendation if you find yourself needing a place to sleep after a night out in Eyre Square or anywhere else in Galway, for that matter. We will be back!!

Good value, great location Location is ideal, right in the city centre. Free parking in a nearby multi storey which is a major bonus! Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Room is standard, clean and modern. Restaurant has been upgraded decor wise, it is very trendy and modern. Cocktails are really good and there is a great selection of drinks. My only negative of the hotel is the food in the restaurant, there wasn't one meal out of the 2 days that any of us enjoyed. Overcooked meat, chips cooked in very dirty oil and also the staff seemed to have no idea about the menu.

5* Staycation Two Nights in the Victoria hotel and we have to say the staff were amazing and couldnt do enough for us.
Covid-19 guidlines very well adhered to, location was perfect for us with Eyre Square only 20 seconds up the street, food and service were brilliant, rooms clean, great breakfast. Staff were very polite especially David the manager.

One bit of advise when booking, we booked at first with booking.com but then got a cheaper rate by booking direct with the hotel and we also got breakfast included and parking

I stayed two nights in the Victoria Hotel in September with my wife. The rooms were super,staff very friendly and the location couldn't be better,a minute from Eyre Square. Also all Covid 19 guidelines were adhered to. A very enjoyable stay.

Nice and clean. Spacious room, but closet very small. Good location, can walk anyway (well, Galway is not that big after all).

Schönes Hotel direkt in der Innenstadt von Galway. Saubere und moderne Zimmer. Sehr schönes Bad mit Glasdusche und Glastür. Parken ist im Parkhaus möglich wo man beim auschecken eine Rabattkarte bekommt, sehr nett und macht auch einiges am Preis aus.Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sind freundlich und Hilfsbereit. Direkt am Eingang befindet sich zur Zeit eine Baustelle. Da soll eine neue Bar entstehen. Den Lärm merkt man jedoch kaum.

Great Stay! Great place to stay in Galway and at a very good price. Very convenient location close to the train station and more bars/restaurant options than you could possibly visit. The reception and staff were very helpful and the bar located in the hotel was great all around.

Close to everything and a beautiful place to stay

Great Value and Location A very comfortable hotel in a great location, right around the corner from Eyre Square. Easy access to downtown pubs and restaurants.
In addition, hotel offers a great breakfast that was included with our booking. You get the choice of one hot AND one cold breakfast meal option from the menu. You won’t go away hungry.

They also validated parking so that we were able to park our car for free at the QPark just a block away.

Staff at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. They provided us with suggestions for places to go. Also, gladly printed out our covid test results that we needed for airport check-in.

Definitely would stay here again.

Midweek break Reception was so helpful & friendly. Bedroom was v comfy & warm . Breakfast was great & our waitress was so friendly & nice . Lovely little hotel .
