The room was very nice, as was the bathroom in the room.
We dined in Queen Street and were disappointed on arrival to see the menu was different and smaller than the one shown on the website. The food overall was nice but nothing special. Our starters were both very nice (Caesar salad and goats cheese) however our mains were not as good (burger which was dry and fish and chips). The service in Queen Street however was amazing and all the staff were very friendly and attentive.
When leaving the bar that night we enquired what time breakfast was served until the next morning and we were told 10:30, but when we arrived for breakfast at 10:10 the following morning we were told breakfast had stopped being served which was again, disappointing as we had breakfast included in our stay. The girl who was in the restaurant cleaning up told us we could take any of the continental breakfast that had not been put away yet back up to our room with us which we did.
Despite these few things, we still had a lovely stay and would return sometime in the future. read less

The reception gent was excellent - helpful , efficient and experienced . He helped us with our bags , gave directions to the free parking around the corner and answered our questions . The room was excellent and a great location for Eyre square and the City .The breakfast was good quality , efficient and tasty .We stayed here to catch the shuttle bus to Rossaveal ferry terminal to go across to the Aran islands - and it was perfect for that purpose . The pick up point is 10m up the road from the front doors ! We would have left our car in Q park for the four extra days we were away , to make use of the really good discounted rate available after the one night complimentary parking - but that rate is only accessible for 3 days , so we parked elsewhere.( I might have missed that info on the website , but If it isn’t there , it might be useful to add .) overall a great stay . I can't compliment the staff enough, some of the friendliest staff I've ever came across, they are so good at their job! The food was amazing also absolutely no complaints. All round one of the best experience for a night out in a loooooong time.

As bridesmaid, the staff were most helpful in helping me organise the hen from bookings, to best value offers, complementary room upgrade, to suggestions for after dinner. Their communication with me was so prompt and helpful.
From the minute we stepped inside the door of this beautiful trendy hotel we felt most welcome and the staff couldn't do enough for us. I cannot praise highly enough the staff of the hotel, especially David, Kat, Kristen, Lisa, Matthew and their talented head chef for surpassing our high expectations and giving us the best stay ever.
Kat on reception checked us in promptly , we got complementary car parking in Q Park and proceeded to our quiet, spacious, comfortable room. The decor of the room was cool and modern and pristine clean.
David met the bride to be and I and showed us to where our party was going to be. The newly renovated bar/ restaurant was just beautiful, decorated in art deco style. He ensured from start to finish that all our requirements were met and really couldn't do enough for us.
Kristen decorated and set up our party space with the decorations/ goody bags etc I had brought and did an amazing job!! This was a huge help to me as I got to spend the afternoon with the bride to be instead of tackling decorating!
Our 3 course meal was unreal and I cannot praise the head chef highly enough for his high standard of food and presentation. Everything was delicious. The menu was so varied, plenty choice and the food was divine, presented beautifully and enjoyed by all 29 of the hen party. 100% to this amazing chef and his team. What was most noted and hughly appreciated was that we had a 2 - 2 and a quarter hour time frame in which to have dinner before a pub reservation in town. David and the head chef and waiting staff had our orders taken, and each course was adequately spread out within our time frame ensuring we weren't under pressure or left rushing to our next stop.
Our tables were waited on with such attention and we were never short of wine or drinks. Their cocktails are amazing also.
The party space we were in was perfect for our Hen Party, the interiors were just fab. An elegant, sophisticated space for an event.

This gem of a hotel is without a doubt a wonderful place to stay and dine in and is so centrally located in Galway city. I will most definitely return again to the Victoria Hotel and let it be my go to place to stay in Galway for a city break. read less

Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly receptionist. We had a brought a bottle of prosecco with us to have as a celebration in our room. The receiptionist directed us to the warm and friendly front of house staff (Dearbhla), who kindly opened the bottle for us and provided us with an ice bucket to chill. We ate in the restaurant that evening and the food was incredible!! We both got the sea bass which was superb, along with the creamy sauce and chorizo. The hotel rooms were very clean and if we required anything else (such as an iron/ironing board), we were seen to immediately. Throughout the evening and during our stay the staff were very attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel! read less
