- Shirley S 4/09/2022Great place, stayed for daughters hen party 8 of us staying here for my daughters hen party. We ate in The Queens Street restaurant within The Victoria Hotel on the first night and was very pleased with the cocktails and food, delicious food, generous helpings, well presented.
So much so that we ate in the second night too, but still no room left to try the chocolate brownie !Breakfast, great choice also.
Staff very pleasant especially the lovely Dervla who even captured on camera us in our "costumes " the first night, hen as a "box of crayons" and chicks as 7 individual coloured crayons!
All the staff were lovely, friendly, polite and Sarah was our waitress who also did an amazing job!
The hotel is amazing, they have done a grand job of renovations, it's clean, spacious and very close to everywhere.

We had dinner the first night and decided to cancel a booking we had for the second night just so we could try more of Bens dishes. We can’t wait to return in august. Also hats off to manager David for running such a great team. It’s Not very often you see that anymore. Would have been nice to have in room refrigerators and better access to ice. While not the fault of the hotel, a nearby business's alarms were beeping constantly throughout our stay and was extremely annoying. - 967maryannr 7/13/2022Fantastic stay at The Victoria June 26 & 27th. Will return whenever in Galway. I stayed with my 15-year-old granddaughter for two nights. I loved its accessibility to the train, first of all. We had a brilliant deal for those over 55 staying for 2 nights with 2 breakfasts and 2 full, delicious dinners. Our waitress, Dearbhla, became our guide and best pal. She found out we had come from Kilkee and brought out the lovely cook, Celine, to meet us because she hailed from there. Dearblha went out of her way to get to know us and made a list of all the shops and places to get the things we were after. Celine's cuisine was delicious and beautifully arranged. The girl at the front desk, whose name I didn't get, was also very accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful. I will recommend it to all I know who visit Galway in the future and will return myself. Our room was very clean and comfortable. I only wish I had taken a a picture of Dearbhla and Celine. Cheers!
