Lovely hotel....down a side street off Eyre Square...good value for money....room spacious, clean & recently renovated....reception staff very helpful with issues we had

Beautiful Room! Loved the room. Had all necessary amenities. The bar and restaurant are gorgeous! Wonderful visit! Pleasant, helpful staff. Excellent location and near everything central. Parking is available a short walk from hotel.

Great Price for location Quick break with the lads and it was situated in the city. Room was modern and clean and they are building a new bar and eatery which will be a great addition to the hotel , We will return again for sure

Meeting with Old Friends Nov 2021 Enjoyed my stay, room modern comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. Had a the burger meal on the first night and that was good. My friend had the chowder & enjoyed it. Only draw back was the Guinness was not up to the usual galway pub standard.

Excellent staff beautiful food

Fabulous newly renovated Stayed here solo on October and it was just perfect.. So near the town and the room was comfy and cosy.. The decor in the reception was stunning... Staff all so polite and helpful... Will definitely be back.

Hotel so near to Eyre Sq Myself and 5 girlfriends spent 3 nights in this lovely hotel. Out rooms were on small size ..3 in each room... but because it’s an old building. Staff were so cheerful and friendly. Breakfast was good and plentiful, and the one evening meal we all enjoyed. The barman was very nice.... he had got use to us taking pint glasses of water with ice to our bedrooms (closing time)... he automatically had them ready for us. Lovely gentleman. We all definitely agreed to return again.

The heart of the city I love where this place is: all the advantages of proximity to the city without the noise. The family rooms are very spacious and reasonably priced. Restaurant not really in operation and neither is bar and the ‘free drink’ promised on the website wasn’t ever mentioned while here. Nevertheless I’ll be back, because the location is great and the staff are nice - and its keenly priced.

Galway- the hotel close to everything The staff was so hospitable and kind- they allowed an extremely early check-in after our long flight from Boston. The hotel itself was lovely, breakfast bountiful and nicely served. The location is in the city center, a very short walk from Eyre Square- close to everything! We loved the heated outdoor porch - great for coffee, and for waiting for cabs.

Fantastic staff great food lovely drinks Max our waiter was amazing friendly and made our evening! The atmosphere and surroundings are also very pleasant. Food was above average and perfect for a quick bite to eat and the after dinner cocktails are a treat!Would recommend highly

Great Hotel!

Excellent hotel and location Hi,
I stayed two nights in the Victoria Hotel in September with my wife. The rooms were super,staff very friendly and the location couldn't be better,a minute from Eyre Square. Also all Covid 19 guidelines were adhered to. A very enjoyable stay.

OK hotel with a great location. OK, this was a nice enough hotel with an excellent location.
The only strange thing that i'd never experienced before was at the breakfast.
When we asked for coffee - we both drink coffee, 99% of the time we would get a pot of coffee brought to the table. Here at this hotel, we were given a cup of boiling water each, with 2 sachets of instant dried coffee. This is the little coffee packet you would find next to your kettle in the room.
To get a proper cup, we were told we needed to pay 3 euro per cup. I've never experienced this before, otherwise its a nice hotel.

My boyfriend and I travelled around ireland last September and stayed in this hotel , the staff were so friendly especially I think her name was Ashley I think was so so kind to us , I came on to write the review because ever since I have been dreaming about the poached egg option on the breakfast menu , I have never tased anything like it and I have never had a breakfast option near as good as what it tasted like , I talk about it everyday so if anyone is going please try this , thank you for a wonderful two days in beautiful Galway

Well located comfortable hotel Good location in walking distance to music pubs, restaurants, train station and Budget Car Rental office. Nice comfortable rooms. Ask for o view if that’s important. Many rooms view brick walls and AC equipment.

Well worth the money. Great little hotel. In the very heart of Galway. Very clean and friendly. Only negative was the breakfast, plentiful for the continental but of low quality for the cooked breakfast. Eat out so many nice eateries. Would return in a flash.

Amazing stay with fantastic customer service We did a weekend getaway we had amazing time the staff are so lovely and welcoming and food was exquisite, would 100% recommend this to any couple the prices are brilliant and very reasonable for a couple looking for a weekend away on a budget

Decent hotel, renovations were mildly annoying Very nice hotel, but was in renovation and there was no dinner service, which I understand but should have been mentioned when I booked, along with that there might be some noise. Still, overall, it was good. Room was clean and everything was as should be.

Great November Stay - ideal location Fantastic staff. Great stay. They couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely bar in hotel for drinks before heading out to the city. Rooms basic enough but clean. Location of hotel is ideal too for those wanting to explore city.

Lovely little gem Stayed one night here for a graduation and it was a very pleasant stay. Hotel is lovely, rooms are clean and the shower is a decent size. Breakfast was very tasty, maybe could have been a little warmer. Staff were very friendly efficient. Walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants. Complimentary car parking at a local public car park.

Amazing Hotel I stayed in The Victoria Hotel with friends on a staycation and throughly enjoyed my stay! Not only was the hotel amazing the staff couldn’t of been nicer ! I had breakfast there both mornings of my stay and both were delicious. The location is a stone throw away from eyre square and perfect for if you get the train to Galway! Would highly recommend anyone to stay here and will definitely be spreading the word about this hotel.

Midweek break Reception was so helpful & friendly. Bedroom was v comfy & warm . Breakfast was great & our waitress was so friendly & nice . Lovely little hotel . We’ve stayed before & now the rooms have been updated . Bar area was so relaxed & decor beautiful. Will definitely come back again. Well done . Also price with breakfast so reasonable

It's not the Ritz but it's a good hotel in a great location with comfortable beds and a good shower

Meal Had a lovely meal after spending the day walking around and town, and at the Christmas market with our 7month old baby. The staff were very help and friendly here and couldn't do enough for us and our baby.

A Gem in the City of the Tribes We stayed here recently for 3 nights and we would rate it as very good to excellent. Location is just off Eyre Square and most city attractions are within walking distance. Parking is available at nearby car park which may be complementary depending on what deal you made on your booking. The hotel may be a bit more expensive than some rivals but we feel it was worth it.
The hotel appeared to be very well maintained and plenty of Covid precautions available, although it was a pity that the hand gel dispenser at the main door did not work at any time over the 3 days. First impressions!!.
Staff were excellent and most courteous, from the housekeeping lady that allowed me jump the Que for the lift when I was bringing in the luggage to the reception staff that sorted out my parking.
The room was spotlessly clean and very well presented, although we both got a bit of a stale air smell when we entered the room as if it had not been opened up for a few days. Maybe good in these Covid times but again First Impressions.
The room was serviced each day with fresh towels and a general clean up.
Breakfast was table service and excellent both in variety and quality as well as quantity. They must have very good kitchen staff because we ate in the hotel for lunch one day and each night also and the fare was excellent. Same menu each night but there was enough for us to sample a variety of dishes.
So overall a big thumbs up to the establishment and if we were visiting the City of Tribes again, we would have no hesitation in staying here again.

I just left this fab hotel i came all the,way from fabulous linerick☺☺ had a lovely 2 night stay,lovely staff beautiful food and very nice room bed shower,I'll be coming back here again very soon and ill be telling everyone i know,about the Victoria hotel☺

Nice place to stay Great location. Easy to find from the station. The staff was friendly and helpful on check in. The staff met our needs when we asked for services. Clean rooms. We enjoyed the morning breakfast. The menu offered a nice selection. More

Galway Adventure We stayed at the Victoria Hotel and it was fabulous. The checkin was so easy and staff was so friendly. We stayed in a family room and it was so spacious and clean. Beds were so comfortable and bathroom was lovely.
Had dinner in the Queen Street restaurant in the hotel and the drinks were so unique and the food was incredible. The baked goat cheese salad was the best we ever had. Thanks for the amazing stay!! We will be back.

Perfect Everything was perfect, great hotel for a getaway. Nice rooms, great staff, good location. Breakfast was good plenty of choice. Nice bar with very pleasant layout. Room was well equipped, powerful shower comfortable bed. Overall a very good experience.

Phenomenal employees who make this hotel v special. It was absolutely excellent from Start to finish. Everywhere we met the hotel staff from initial reception to the housekeeping and restaurant/bar staff, they went over and above in terms of helpfulness, and friendliness and genuine care and attention. I cannot think of more outstanding staff across the board in all the hotels I have been in in Ireland and there has been many through work. The location obviously could not have been better. It was excellent value. We had a salad, Pizzas and cocktails, all of which were excellent. We look forward to visiting again and thank you for making our stay so special.

It was wonderful slept like baby’s so we’re back again for 2 nights on december20 and 21 st can’t wait 😝 to stay here again and see this wonderful hotel and all the great staff

Highly recommend Really nice hotel. In a great location. Perfect for a night on the town. Right in the city centre. The food was fantastic and they have a lovely cocktail menu too. Would definitely return. More for couples/ night out.

Trip to Galway Lovely hotel right next to train station and central area. Easy to walk around to local sights and restaurants. Great breakfast and comfortable rooms. Excellent staff to help us out. Highly recommended

Fantastic food and service - highly recommended So impressed with the new Queen Street bar in the Hotel, the food was fantastic but the highlight of the weekend was the staff! I have never met a crew where every single person was a joy to deal with and the service was very attentive, second to none with a wide smile! Shout out for Patrick, Spanish Sarah and all the bar staff on this weekend who made out stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Very impressed and looking forward to visiting again soon hopefully.
